HONOR VIA THROUGH HER CAUSES

THE LOSS OF Marion Via is indeed a great one for the Roanoke Valley. Her generosity to education, public service and the arts was unbounded.

To lament her loss is one thing; to fill her place quite another. While no one person can do that, it seems no more fitting memorial could be rendered her than for a consortium of Roanoke's wealthier citizens (and there are many) to band together to undertake those interests that were so important to her.
