U.S. RED CROSS OFFICIAL TO SPEAK AT VA. TECH
Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Donald W. Jones, general manager of disaster services for the American Red Cross, will speak at Virginia Tech on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Colonial Hall of Squires Student Center. The public event is free.
Jones will give a presentation about relief operations, including efforts to help South Florida following Hurricane Andrew. The general's visit is sponsored by the Tech Corps of Cadets. After a 35-year Army career, Jones joined the Red Cross in 1991.
