OBIT REEVES, WALTER DAVID

REEVES, Walter David, 77, of Route 1, Montvale, died Saturday, January 16, 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Reeves. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. Survivors include three sons, Charles Reeves, Larry Reeves, and Walter Reeves, Jr., all of Roanoke; one stepson, Frank Johnson, Maryland; two daughters, Linda Rhett, Roanoke, Rosemary Wilson, Blue Ridge; one stepdaughter, Doris Barney, Washington, D.C.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a devoted cousin, Josephine Brown, Roanoke; other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Montvale Community Cemetery. Rev. Napoleon Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
