OBIT BELL, HUNTER REED
BELL, Hunter Reed, 82, of 611 Selene St., Lynchburg, passed away Sunday
morning, January 17, 1993, at his residence. Born in Bedford County, he was a
son of the late Henry R. Bell and Mrs. Alice Louise Brown Bell. He is survived
by his wife, Mrs. Rachel Bell. He was a member of the Rivermont Baptist
Church, and was a retired employee of the Virginia Tech State University. In
addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, John G. Bell of
Suitland, Md., William H. Bell of Washington, D.C.; seven sisters, Mrs. Ethel
Dobbins of Blacksburg, Mrs. Evelyn Davis, Mrs. Youtha Turner and a devoted
sister, Mrs. Marion Saunders, all of Lynchburg, Mrs. Bessie Thomas of Bedford,
Mrs. Elizabeth Gillis of Roanoke, and Mrs. Virginia Warren of Washington,
D.C.; one Godson, Dwayne McKies of Maryland; one Goddaughter, Miss Tracie
Jackson of Greensboro, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday from
Rivermont Baptist Church with the Rev. David Stuart officiating. Interment
will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements by Community Funeral
