ARE THEY SELLING ONE-SHOT WEAPONS?

THERE is a basic and fundamental point that has been either ignored or overlooked in the ongoing brouhaha concerning the proposal to limit the purchase of guns to one per month. To wit: A limit on the number of guns purchased in any period does not infringe on a citizen's right to keep and bear arms.

Second Amendment considerations and precedents aside, I have heard of no credible argument why anyone has a "need" to purchase guns at an unlimited rate. Are they thrown away after they are used or get dirty? EDWARD D. SPEAR BEDFORD
