OBIT HILER, B.
HILER, Bobby Ray, 65, of Moneta, died Tuesday, January 19, 1993 after a
long illness. He was a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church, was a retired
inspector with General Electric Corporation with 31 years of service, an Army
veteran in the Korean Conflict, and a member of Williamson Road Lodge #163
A.F.&A.M. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pettit Hiler; one daughter and
son-in-law, Carolyn and Rick Franklin, Asheville, N.C.; three sons and
daughters-in-law, Ray F. Hiler and wife, Elaine, Seneca, S.C., William D.
Hiler and wife, Peggy, Roanoke, Kevin W. Hiler and wife, Mary, Cape Girardeau,
Mo.; eight grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte A. Hiler, Moneta. Funeral
services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 3 p.m. Thursday, January
21 with the Rev. Dr. Darryl G. Crim officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood
Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Attn:
Linda Bryant, P.O. Box 13367, Roanoke, Va. 24033. Friends may call Oakey's
North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday.
