OBIT BURKHOLDER, P.
BURKHOLDER, Philip Douglas, 42, of Richmond, died Sunday, Janury 17 1993.
Formerly of Buchanan, he was a graduate of James River High School and the
University of Virginia, a member of the Sierra Club for many years, editor of
the Sierra Club newsletter, and employed at Post Software International as an
on-site computer consultant for Best Products. Mr. Burkholder is survived by
his wife, Jennifer Backman; his father Arthur W. Burkholder, Jr., Buchanan;
sister Judy B. Elliott, Lynchburg; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Irene and
Roy Backman, Buchanan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John Michael and
Sybil B. Lloyd, Plano, Texas; three nieces and three nephews. Funeral services
will be held Thursday, January 21, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rader Buchanan
Chapel with the Rev. Mike Woody and Rev. Ed Burkholder officiating. Interment
will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan. The family will receive friends
Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Buchanan. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to LifeNet Transplant Services, 3001 Hungary
Spring Road, Suite F, Richmond, Va. 23226.
