2 TEEN GIRLS INDICTED IN PARENTS' SLAYINGS
Two 15-year-old girls have been indicted on murder charges in the slayings of their parents.A grand jury Tuesday indicted Barbara Mullens on a capital murder charge in the shooting deaths of her mother, Carolyn S. Mullens, 45, and stepfather, Douglas Mullens, 46, on Sept. 23 at the family's mobile home in Prospect.
Jennaleigh Mullens was indicted on two charges of first-degree murder in the killings. She is Douglas Mullens' daughter from a previous marriage.
Circuit Judge John R. Snoddy scheduled the trial for July 13-14 for Barbara Mullens and July 28-29 for Jennaleigh Mullens. - Associated Press
