EDUCATION MAGAZINE HONORS DODGE
Executive Educator magazine has named Montgomery County School Superintendent Harold Dodge "one of the outstanding school executives in North America.""After an exhaustive examination of your credentials and career achievements by an independent jury of 10 prestigious education leaders, you have been singled out for recognition," Gregg W. Downey, the the magazine's editor-in-chief wrote Dodge last week.
The February issue of the magazine will include Dodge in its feature, "The Executive Educator 100." Dodge will receive a certificate from the magazine acknowledging the honor.
Dodge winds up his five-year tenure as superintendent of Montgomery schools on June 30. He has no definite employment plans at this point.
Dodge, 46, told the School Board that he would leave his job when his current term ends. A Chesapeake native, he came to Montgomery County from the University City, Mo., school system in 1988.
