OBIT WILSON, A.

WILSON, Alta Plummer, 81, of Grant, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 1993, at Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home, Marion. Born at Grassy Creek, N.C., February 8, 1911, she was the daughter of William M. and Valerie Peake Plummer. She was the widow of Thomas A. Wilson and a member of Grant United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Lois Cornett of Abingdon, Betty DeRouchey of Bountiful, Utah; one brother, William C. Plummer of Skyland, N.C.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 1993, in Grant United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pamela Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in Grant Cemetery. The body will remain at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence where the family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to Grant United Methodist Church, Rt. 2, Trout Dale, Va. 24378. The family will be at the home in Grant where friends may call at any time. Arrangements by Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence.
