Heartfelt Inc., a Roanoke greeting card maker, has won a graphic design award from Mohawk Paper Mill. Heartfelt uses Mohawk paper supplied by Dillard Paper Co. of Roanoke. The award, based on integration of design, printing and paper, also cited A. Renee Dollard, an artist working for Heartfelt, and Valley Printers Inc. of Salem, which printed the winning item.
Hillenbrand Industries, Batesville, Ind., owner of Medeco Security Locks Inc. and an electronics division at Salem, raised its stock divided to 11.25 cents per share from 8.75 cents, to be paid Feb. 26 to shareholders on Feb. 12.
Unilever, the Anglo-Dutch parent of Elizabeth Arden Co. of Roanoke, said it has formed a joint venture with BSN S.A., a Paris food processor, to develop and market worldwide yogurt and ice cream combinations. BSN markets Dannon yogurt and Unilever makes Motta and Frigo ice cream, mostly in Europe.
Georgia Bonded Fibers Inc., Newark, N.J. operator of a fiberboard and foam products plant in Buena Vista, has formed a new subsidiary, Bontex De Mexico in Leon, Mexico, to sell its cellulose elastomeric products for footwear, luggage, leather goods, headwear and to the automotive industry.
