CLUB PLANNING MORE JAMBOREES AT FAIRGROUNDS
The Fiddle, Dance and Banjo Club jamborees at the New River Valley Fairgrounds will double in the first three months of 1993."The jamborees have proved to be so popular that our attendance has grown to more than 600 people," said event organizer Charlie White. "By offering the musical event twice a month, we hope to satisfy the demand for more old-time and bluegrass music in the New River Valley."
The next jamboree will be Jan. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m., featuring the Gold Hill Band of Independence and Craig County Boys. Admission is free but donations will be accepted to cover band travel expenses.
