DAIRY FARMERS ADVISED OF MILK-SALES REFUNDS
Terry Altizer, Montgomery-Giles County executive director of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, says legislation calls for an 11.25 cents-per-hundredweight reduction in 1992 commercial milk marketings. This amount was increased to 13.65 cents per hundredweight to compensate for refunds paid under the 1991 program.Altizer says producers may be eligible for a refund under the program if they can provide evidence that their 1992 milk marketings did not exceed their 1991 sales.
