8 CHARGES DISMISSED IN TRUCKER-BEATING CASE
A judge dismissed eight charges Friday against three men accused in the riot beating of trucker Reginald Denny, but allowed attempted murder and other charges to stand against all three.Superior Court Judge John Ouderkirk also said he plans to go forward with the potentially volatile trial on March 15. Charged with the attack are Antoine Miller, Damian Monroe Williams and Henry Watson.
The judge dismissed counts of aggravated mayhem and torture, reduced one count of robbery to attempted robbery and another to receiving stolen property, and dismissed three other robbery charges.
