I-81 ON-RAMP TO CLOSE FOR A DAY

The on-ramp to southbound Interstate 81 on Virginia 419 near Salem will be closed Tuesday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Virginia Department of Transportation workers will be gathering information to use in making improvements to the interstate. In case of inclement weather, the on-ramp will remain open.

The Transportation Department advises motorists to enter southbound I-81 via Virginia 311.
