Rita Dianne Shough and John Carr Arrup were married on Saturday,January 23, 1993 at Asbury UnitedMethodist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. The ceremony was performed by Reverend Louis Carson of Danville. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the home of the newlyweds.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon W. Shough of Patrick Springs, holds degrees from Radford University.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Henry Desmond Arrup, Sr. of Baltimore,Maryland and the late Mr. Arrup. He was graduated from the University ofBaltimore and is employed with J. J. Haines & Co., Inc.
Susan S. McDonald of Graniteville, South Carolina, served as her sister'smatron of honor. Henry Desmond Arrup, Jr., of Exton, Pennsylvania, brother of the groom, was best man.
Following a West Coast wedding trip, the couple will make their home in Greensboro.
