BLALOCK-WOLFE
Carolyn Elaine Wolfe and MichaelBrian Blalock were married January 23,
1993, in First English Lutheran Church, with Dr. Richard Olson and Pastor
Edwin Troutman officiating. The reception was held at Lewis Ginter Botanical
Gardens. The matron of honor was Mrs. O. Bryan Compton. The bridesmaids were
Mrs. Robert Glenn, Mrs. S. Bruce Saunders, Miss E. Diane Grizzard, and Miss
Ashley Saunders. The best man was Mr. James Michael Blalock, father of the
groom. The ushers were Mr. Joseph Brown, Mr.Matthew Saunders, Mr. S.
BruceSaunders, and Mr. James Barry Blalock. The guestbook was attended by Ms.
Cathy Hensley. The bride wore a traditional gown of white silk shantung with a
scalloped bateau neckline that fell to a basque waist and had tapered sleeves.
The bodice was detailed with Venice lace motifs. The full skirt was detailed
with scalloped Venice lace and extends to a semi-cathedral train. Her
headpiece wreath of silk flowers and satin petals. The back had a satin looped
bow with a single layer of waist length tulle. She carried a bouquet of white
roses, calla lilies and English ivy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James F. Wolfe of Blacksburg. She is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and
attended the University of Arkansas. She is employed by Virginia Farm Bureau
Insurance Company. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Blalock
of Midlothian, Va. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and is
employed by Frischkorn Incorporated. The newlyweds will live in Midlothian,
after the wedding trip to Breckenridge, Colorado.
