WHITFIELD-ROYER

Angela Denise Royer and Kirby Lee Whitfield, Jr., were united in marriage on January 2, 1993, at the home of the groom. The Rev. Kirby L. Whitfield, Sr. was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held at Days Inn on Plantation Road.

Cynthia Williams, best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Vincent Tucker, best friend of the groom, served as best man. The usher was Charles R. Whitfield, brother of the groom. JaVonte Ashford, nephew of the groom, was the ringbearer.

Angela is the daughter of Ms. Sandra L. Royer and Mr. Leroy A. Logan, Jr., both of Roanoke. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and is employed by the Roanoke Times & World News. Kirby is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Kirby L.Whitfield, Sr. of Roanoke. He is agraduate of William Fleming High School and is employed by the Roanoke Times & World News and Home Shopping Network in Salem.

The newlyweds will reside in Roanoke, Va.
