To Jack Bogaczyk:

One of the best ways that I can start the New Year is by letting you know just how much I appreciate your fine sports columns and commentaries in the Roanoke Times & World-News. Today, with this first of the New Year, you have provided us with one of the most entertaining forecasts for 1993 that I have read yet.

Few people realize just how difficult it is to provide news coverage and columns week after week. Fewer yet ever express their delight and appreciation to those who provide them with information, impressions and entertainment. I myself read the papers day after day and enjoy thoroughly what I read but do not express my gratitude often enough.
