BARNES, Dillon Christopher, 37 days, of Roanoke, died Thursday, January 21, 1993 at his home. Surviving are his parents, A1C Golden Randall, II and Debra Virginia Barnes, Roanoke; a sister, Rachel Lillian Barnes, of the home; paternal grandparents, Golden Randall Barnes I, and Rita J. Barnes, Sarasota, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Eddie Arnold Newman and Connie Lou Newman, both of Roanoke; maternal great-grandparents, Gene Newman, Verna Newman, both of Roanoke; paternal uncle and aunts, Lance S. Barnes, 2C Midshipman, Annapolis, Md., Terri Trump, Donna Morton, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Kimberly Lazar, Melbourne, Fla. and Viva O'Brien, Nashville, Tenn.; maternal uncle, Stephen Daniel Stroup, Roanoke. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, January 25, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frank W. Feather officiating. The family suggest memorials be made to the American Red Cross. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel after 11 a.m. Monday.
