OBIT KIDD, JOHN HOWARD
KIDD, John Howard, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, January 23, 1993. He left this life, and with him at the time of his departure was his wife, Alda. His children are Susan K. Kingery, John H. Kidd Jr., Frank R. Kidd and Jenny K. Kidd. His grandsons, Ted, John, Michael, Matthew, John Howard III, and Jason, lovingly call him "Pa". Martin and Matt, too. He leaves a sister, Alice K. Campbell, and brothers, W. Douglas Kidd and Guy R. Kidd. It can be said of Mr. Kidd that he was devoted to God, family, friends, his country and work. Services will be held at North Roanoke Oakey's Chapel 11:30 a.m. Monday and afterwards in Sherwood Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Robert L. Alderman and the Rev. Albin P. Crutchfield. The family will meet friends at Oakey's North Chapel on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
