OBIT BOWMAN, RUBY LEE
BOWMAN, Ruby Lee, 87, of Friendship Manor in Roanoke, died Saturday, January 23, 1993. She was a member of Williamson Road Church of the Brethren. She is survived by her husband, Emmert O. Bowman; one daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Charles Bonner of White Stone, Va.; one stepdaughter and husband, Virginia B. and Leo Mikesell of California; two sisters, Hazel J. Moore of Roanoke, Lorraine Sutphen of Floyd; six grandchildren, Karen B. Allen, Charles W. Bonner III, Larry C. Bonner, Richard Mikesell, Cynthia Gillespie and David Mikesell; and seven great-grandchildren, Sarah, David and Peter Allen, Charles Bonner IV, Candi and Andrew Gillespie, and Justin Mikesell. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, with Pastor Harold S. Moyer officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Williamson Road Church of the Brethren. The family will receive friends at Oakey's North Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday.
