THOMAS, Minnie Ward Woods, 86, of Roanoke, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, January 21, 1993. Survivors include a devoted son, Herman Woods; grandson, Jerome Childress; stepgranddaughter, Mrs. Margaret Burnette (husband, Charles); devoted niece, Gloria W. Gravely; sister-in-law, Elaine Ward, all of Roanoke; one nephew, Edward C. Ward, Anchorage, Alaska; nieces, Virginia Paige, Shirley Mobley (husband, Jimmy), Delores Taylor, all of Philadelphia, Pa.; a special cousin, Eldridge Payne, Martinsville; other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Williams Memorial Park, with Dr. E. T. Burton officiating. Hamlar-Curtis, Morticians.
