OBIT UNDERWOOD, DENNIS EDWARD
UNDERWOOD, Dennis Edward, 41, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, January 23, 1993, in the Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley. He was born March 4, 1951, in Bedford County, a son of Margaret Mayhew LeDoux and the late Leroy Underwood of Amherst. He was an asphalt construction worker with S. R. Draper Paving Company, and was a member of the Roanoke Moose Lodge No. 284. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Jimmy LeDoux, Amherst; his wife, Kathy Ferguson; one son, Douglas Underwood, Middleburg, Fla.; one daughter, Teresa Underwood, Middleburg, Fla.; and a sister, Barbara King, Decatur, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 1993, from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by the Rev. Alton B. Anderson. Interment will follow in the Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
