OBIT MITCHELL, WILLIAM RODGER

MITCHELL, William Rodger, 47, of Roanoke, died Sunday, January 24, 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cecil and Flossie Horton Mitchell, and his grandparents, Edward L. and Bessie M. Horton. He was a former employee of Hodges Lumber Company, and is survived by his wife, Phoebe Grubbs Mitchell, a son, Bill Mitchell, a future daughter-in-law, Lisa Brickey, a sister, Virginia M. Bocock, and a granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Mitchell, all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 1993, in Rader Troutville Chapel with the Rev. Carter L. Sloan officiating. Interment will follow in Daleville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Troutville.
