MONETA MAN DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT

A Moneta man was killed Monday night when his pickup truck went out of control on a Bedford County road and flipped several times.

Marvin D. Crider, 43, was dead at the scene of the 6:55 p.m. accident, State Police Trooper R.G. Snead said. Crider was not wearing a seatbelt.

Crider was traveling west on Virginia 655 approaching the intersection with Virginia 837 in the southwestern part of the county when the accident occurred, Snead said. The truck ran off the left side of the road and crashed into a dirt embankment, then overturned.
