SUPERVISORS PLAN PULASKI'S BUDGET

The Pulaski County Board of Supervisors mapped out plans Monday night to prepare a tentative 1993-94 budget by May 3 and have it adopted by May 24.

If the timetable holds up, a public hearing on the proposed budget would be held May 17.

County Administrator Joseph Morgan presented the budget calendar to the board. It calls for initial estimates of local revenue to be presented at the board's next regular meeting Feb. 22.

A preliminary discussion on the 1993-94 county school budget would be held early in March at a joint meeting of the supervisors and School Board.

Budget requests would be due in Morgan's office by March 8, with administrative review of regional agency budgets by March 15. Morgan would make his budget recommendation to the board March 30.

The School Board would make its budget presentation April 5. The biggest chunk of county revenue goes toward schools.

Other agency and department budget presentations would be April 13.

Monday night budget work sessions are planned on April 19, April 26 and May 3. Board Chairman Jerry White suggested that the board consider a daylong Saturday work session instead of three night sessions.
