88-YEAR-OLD, FAMILY CLAIM LOTTO PURSE
An 88-year-old Virginia Beach man and his son and daughter-in-law have claimed Saturday's $5.8 million Lotto jackpot.The winning ticket - with the numbers 2-4-7-9-26-33 - was purchased at a Virginia Beach grocery store.
John J. O'Garra came to Lottery headquarters Monday along with John E. O'Garra, 59, and Beverly J. O'Garra to pick up their first check of $196,520, after taxes. They will receive 19 additional annual payments of $197,880.
John E. O'Garra and his wife live near Meherrin in Prince Edward County. He said they plan to use part of their winnings to purchase property and to move his father close to them.
