LAWRENCE, Ruth Roberts, 74, of Saltville, died Monday, January 25, 1993 at
her home. Surviving are her husband, Floyd Beattie Lawrence Sr., Saltville;
two sons, Floyd Beattie "Dink" Lawrence Jr., Thousand Oaks, Calif., Douglas
Bruce Lawrence, Roanoke; one nephew, Richard H. Lawrence, Johnson City, Tenn.;
two brothers, Eugene "Beany" Roberts, Ted Roberts, both of Saltville; four
sisters, Mrs. John (Nell) Lambert, Stuarts Draft, Mrs. Turner (Teenie)
Henegar, Saltville, Mrs. Emmett (Mazie) Morgan, Pratville, Ala., Mrs. E. B.
(Edna) Hagy, Abingdon; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral
services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 1993 in the D. R.
Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Roberts, Rev. Sam Hooker, and
Rev. Jeff Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Rose Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Henderson's
Funeral Home in Saltville. Pallbearers will be Tony Lawrence, Jim Mellinger,
Jerry Roberts, Robert Duncan, Franklin Lawrence, Dan Roberts, Andy Barrett,
and Buddy Call.
