OBIT MCNEIL, MARY WRIGHT
McNEIL, Mary Wright, 84, of Roanoke, died Monday, January 25, 1993. She was
an organizer and founding member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Mary had
many years of service with the Miller & Rhoads Company, later she founded her
own interior design business. She was a member of the Virginia Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alex. Surviving are her son
and daughter-in-law, Alex and Marguerite ("Slick") McNeil, Roanoke; and
daughter Sallyanne McNeil, West Linn, Ore.; four beloved grandchildren, Jon F.
and Brook A. Geffen, West Linn, Ore., Blair W. McNeil, Blacksburg, Ferrell A.
McNeil, Roanoke. Funeral services will be at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 11
a.m. Thursday with the Rev. James Riach officiating. Interment will follow at
Sherwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
Covenant Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 1831 Deyerle Rd., S.W., Roanoke,
VA 24018. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel where the family will
receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
