OBIT DRAG, MARYLAND LOUTHEN

DRAG, Maryland Louthen, 68, of Tallahassee, Fla., died Monday, January 25, 1993, in Tallahasee Memorial Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla. She was born in Smyth County, Va. on June 25, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Ella Louthen. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and John Gay of Tallahassee, Fla.; one grandchild, Adrienne Nicole Gay of Tallahassee, Fla.; one stepgranddaughter, Stephne Brown of Panama City, Fla.; one stepgreat-grandson, Joshua Brown of Panama City, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Bud (Lorraine) Gorres of Dayton, Kentucky, Mrs. Earnest T. (Jane) Parker of Bristol, Tenn., and Mrs. Marie Pond of Johnson City, Tenn.; three brothers, Howard L. Louthen, James E. Louthen of Bristol, Va., and Harold L. Louthen of Rural Retreat, Va.; one aunt, Clara Whitley of Kannapolis, N. C.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 28 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Larry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Rich Valley, Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
