PITT PLAYERS IN JAIL
A judge refused to reduce the $25,000 bonds that have kept two University of Pittsburgh players behind bars since their arrest for allegedly selling crack cocaine. On Tuesday, Judge Robert E. Dauer of Allegheny County Common Pleas Court rejected the arguments of attorneys for offensive tackle Reuben Brown, 20, who played at E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Va., and running back Jermaine Williams, 21, of Detroit.
The players and former Pitt defensive lineman Derrick Hicks, 22, were arrested Saturday after police said a woman bought crack cocaine at an apartment shared by the three.
