ROANOKE CATHOLIC SUFFERS THE BLUES

Parry McCluer built a big lead and pulled away in defeating Roanoke Catholic 77-44 in a non-district boys' basketball game Wednesday night.

Jason Baker's 17 points led the Fighting Blues (8-5), who were ahead 33-19 at halftime. Parry McCluer's Craig Floyd had 14 points and Chris Carter added 11.

For the Celtics (4-16), Charles Cunningham had 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and Mike Kolnok had 16 points, including four 3-pointers.
