PULASKI COUNTY SETS PAY SCALES FOR 40 STAFF
New pay scales have been set for Pulaski County's 40 staff employees. Each job will have a designated entry salary and full pay level. Merit pay and cost-of-living increases will be eliminated, as will a nine-step pay plan already suspended in 1990 because money was tight.
A few employees already are at full pay. About one-third of the county's employees are close to it and will be getting it by the end of 1993.
Under the plan, all must reach full pay levels within five years.
Overall salary increases for county employees in the future will depend on funds being available.
