OBIT MCDANIEL, LILLIAN FORREST KNIGHT
MCDANIEL, Lillian Forrest Knight, 86, of Bedford, died Wednesday, January
27, 1993 at her residence. She was born in the Coleman Falls section of
Bedford County on March 18, 1906, a daughter of the late Harris Newbill Knight
and Sammie Elliott Knight. She was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist
Church and was a secretary for Caskie Paper Company. Her husband was the late
Samuel McDaniel, Jr. Survivors include a half sister, Marian K. Harris; two
half brothers, James Knight, Orson Knight, all of Lynchburg; two
brothers-in-law, J.R. "Bill" McDaniel, Albert McDaniel; two sisters-in-law,
Frances McDaniel, Virginia Snead and her husband, Cecil; also a special
friend, Arthur Glover, all of Bedford; several nieces and nephews also
survive. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Greenwood
Cemetery on Friday, January 29, 1993 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John C.
Mitchell, Jr. officiating. Friends may call at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home
on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Bedford Life Saving
Crew.
