IN SCHOOL

ERIC TRETHEWEY, associate professor of English and creative writing at Hollins College, has been awarded the Cynthia Cahn Memorial Poetry Prize for 1992.

The Anhinga Press in Tallahassee, Fla., gave Trethewey the prize for his poem "Wait," which it called "the best original, unpublished poem in English."
