GLAD TO STILL HAVE VOTING RIGHTS
WHAT DOES a conservative die-hard say that is positive to a bounteous liberal editor on this day of the presidential inauguration? For some reason, I don't have it in my heart to congratulate our new president. Perhaps it has something to do with Mr. Clinton already backing down on his campaign promises. Or maybe it's the saxophone music while our country is at war. Men who commit adultery and then quote Scripture in an inaugural address don't sit too well with me either.
I am grateful to live in a country that allows me the right to vote against this newspaper's candidate.
That's the best I can come up with. CARLA SLEIGHT CHRISTIANSBURG
