DENNIS WEST SHOULD NOT BE PAROLED
MANY AREA citizens are familiar with the tragic and brutal death of Barbara West in March 1988. Dennis West has been convicted of this horrendous crime. Yet, he boasted that he would never be brought to court. Not only was he brought to trial, but he was found guilty of murdering his wife by two juries and two judges during two separate trials in different locations of Virginia.West goes before the parole board within the next few months. Now is the time for concerned citizens to write letters to the board regarding the early release of this criminal. Letters should address such issues as the brutality of the crime; his obvious and continued lack of remorse; fear of harassment, revenge or retaliation from involvement in the trials; or how this crime affected you personally.
It is important to know that letters received by the parole board are kept strictly confidential. GWYNN FRANKLIN SALEM
