HOLLINS FIRE, RESCUE CREWS INSTALL OFFICERS
Hollins fire, rescue crews install officersThe Roanoke County Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad No. 5 Hollins Inc. recently installed 1993 officers and named award winners.
Business officers are Larry Wirt, president; David Cheatham, vice president; David Danco, secretary; Mike Moomaw, treasurer; and Anna Snider, chaplain.
Rescue officers are Emily Totten, chief; Rich Crigger, captain; Mark Williams, first lieutenant; and Kenny Ball, second lieutenant.
Fire officers are Wink Moore, chief; Jerry Thompson, assistant chief; Harvey Stebbins, deputy chief; Scott Graham, captain; Dean Peroulas, training lieutenant; and Danny Snider, equipment lieutenant.
Medical advisers are Drs. Lynn Beavers, Herman Brubaker, Carol Gilbert, Frank Johnson, Daniel Hoback and David Mitchell.
Legal advisers are Roy Creasy and Bruce Mayer.
Community service awards were given to Kwik-Kopy Printing Center, Double Envelope Corp. and Star City Roller Skating Center.
Wayne Guffy and Sandy Guffy were named rescue members of the year, and Brian Witt was named fire member of the year.
