ROANOKE EMS AUXILIARY ELECTS 1993 OFFICERS

Roanoke EMS auxiliary elects 1993 officers

The Roanoke Emergency Medical Services Auxiliary has installed officers for 1993.

They are: Lois Huddleston, president; Linda Barnett, vice president; Sophia Thompson, secretary; Judy Harper, treasurer; Missy Boder, chaplain; and Trish Kaylor, historian.

Huddleston also was named auxiliary member of the year.

The group recently donated two flood lamps, two tool boxes, two storage boxes, a heavy-duty jack and a reciprocating saw to the Roanoke Life Saving Crew for its new crash truck.

SPCA seeks members with skating marathon

The Roanoke Valley Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will sponsor a roller skating marathon Feb. 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Olympic Roller Skating Center, 1620 Washington Ave., Vinton.

Each participant who enrolls five new members will skate free. Prizes will be awarded to skaters with the most new members.
