PARRY MCCLUER ROMPS

At Buena Vista, Parry McCluer built a big lead and pulled away from Roanoke Catholic 77-44 in a non-district boys' basketball game Wednesday night.

Jason Baker's 17 points led the Fighting Blues (8-5), who were ahead 33-19 at halftime. Parry McCluer's Craig Floyd had 14 points and Chris Carter added 11.

For the Celtics (4-16), Charles Cunningham had 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and Mike Kolnok had 16 points, including four 3-pointers. \

George Wythe 74, Carroll County 65: At Hillsville, Aaron Black scored 23 points as the Maroons defeated the Cavaliers in a non-district boys' basketball game.

Tracy Brown added 17 points and Jeff Bourne 10 for George Wythe, which led 37-24 at halftime.

For Carroll County (5-10), John Wolford scored 21 and Jason Kilbourne added 10. \
