BLACKSBURG BUDGET PRESENTATION HONORED

The town of Blacksburg has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

The town's 1992-93 budget was reviewed by a panel of experts that evaluated its effectiveness as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communications device.

Since 1984, more than 500 governments have received the award.
