OBIT BASHAM, HOWARD KEISTER ("SLIM")
BASHAM, Howard Keister ("Slim"), 75, of Roanoke, passed away suddenly
Thursday, January 28, 1993. He was retired from Magic City Ford with over 40
years service in the parts department. Survivors include his wife, Ellen
Reynolds Basham; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Sue Basham Watkins and
Bruce W. Watkins, Roanoke; four sisters, Frances Basham, Vinton, Christine B.
Morris, Mechanicsville, Julia Basham, Vinton, Annie Lee Lloyd and husband,
Eddie W. Lloyd, Moneta; one brother, Pat O'Brien, Roanoke; grandchildren,
Daryl W. Watkins and Melody S. Watkins, both of Roanoke; also several nieces
and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10
a.m. Saturday, January 30, 1993 from the Lotz Roanoke Chapel. The Rev. Don
McCaskill and the Rev. Robert E. Crawford will officiate. Burial will follow
in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that
memorial gifts may be made to Garden City Baptist Church. Friends may call at
Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
