ATTENDANCE ZONES ON PULASKI SCHOOL OFFICIALS' AGENDA

Pulaski County school officials will meet with primary school principals in the town of Pulaski next month to discuss new attendance zones.

The zones are being redrawn for Critzer, Northwood and Claremont elementary schools because of the closing of Jefferson Elementary School at the end of this school year.

Meetings with the various principals will be scheduled in the second week of February. The School Board met Thursday night in closed session to go over a preliminary draft of the new attendance areas.

Once the zones for pupils attending the remaining three schools take form, they will be outlined at a general public meeting at Pulaski Middle School with follow-up meetings at each of the elementary schools.

The tentative date for the general meeting, depending on the plans being completed in time, is Feb. 18. If that date holds up, the follow-up sessions would be Feb. 21-24.
