`OPERATIF' IS FEB. 17

Artistic director Victoria Bond will host Opera Roanoke's second "OPERAtif" on Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel in Roanoke.

Bond will give an informal lecture on Verdi's "Aida," Opera Roanoke's upcoming collaboration with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and Roanoke Valley Choral Society. Soloists from the cast will also perform.

Single admission is $8 and includes tea, scones and tarts. Advance reservations are required due to limited seating.
