PRAISE FOR RADFORD'S VERY CARING HOSPITAL

I would like publicly to thank the folks at Radford Community Hospital for the wonderful care I received there last week.

I'm not a native Virginian and had never been to this hospital. Kim was the first nurse on the floor and, though she'd pulled some 16-hour shifts and taken a test earlier in the day, her warmth and caring were deeply appreciated. Patty stayed close and frequently checked to see how I was doing physically and emotionally as well. I don't remember all the nurses' names, I wrote down a few, but many gave 100-plus on each call. Valena worked 12 hours and was as happy, giving and caring the last hour as the first.

My experience could not have been better. My doctor, Dr. Scott Jamison, came later than his usual time but was gracious enough to pull up a chair and take all the time I needed to learn all the details of the plan for my treatment. What a contrast from the doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota!

This experience beats any I've ever had and I've had a lot of hospitalization.

In the hustle and bustle of our days, I want to pause and focus on the wonderful people at Radford Community Hospital and express my deep appreciation for their consistent, superb care. I hope to retire in this area and if I ever need hospitalization again, I'll sure ask for this hospital.
