Mr. and Mrs. Anthony G. Scariano of Flossmoor, Illinois and Dr. and Mrs.Eugene Mitchell Long, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia announce the engagement of Jane deCottes Long to Mr. Nathaniel Lee Faulkner, son of Mr. and Mrs. TomFaulkner of Lexington, Virginia.

Miss Long is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene M. Long of Augusta, Georgia. Mr. Faulkner is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Faulkner of Glasgow and Mrs. Thelma Thompson of Natural Bridge.

Miss Long was graduated from Hollins College. Mr. Faulkner graduated from Virginia Tech. He is an engineer atWestvaco in Covington.

A wedding is planned for June 12, 1993.
