BENALI-TURNER

Laura Scott Turner and Otmane Benali were married on January 2, 1993, at Christiansburg Presbyterian Church in Christiansburg, Virginia, with the Reverend Vernon D. Miller officiating. The reception was held at The Gallery in Radford, Virginia. The matron of honor was Teresa Cordle Berry, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Betty Turner, cousin of the bride, Bouchra Benotmane, sister of the groom, andSanaa Maghraoui, niece of the groom. The best man was Younes Benotmane, brother-in-law of the groom. Groomsmen were Thomas Harwell Turner and Edward Carter Turner, III, brothers of the bride, and Said Masrour, friend of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Mrs. Pat Bankhead, friend of the bride's family. The bride wore a multi-layered tulle gown with an open portrait neckline. The fitted faille bodice had three-dimensional crystal-beaded pastel flowers and pale green silk embroidery. The long faille sleeves ended in a wedding point, and the full skirt had a chapel train. She carried a colonial bouquet of tulle and white roses. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Carter Turner, Jr., of Christiansburg, Virginia. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is employed by Virginia Tech. The bridegroom is a son of Mohammed Benali and El Batoul Ziani, of Rabat, Morocco. He is a graduate of Radford University. The newlyweds will live in Blacksburg, Virginia, after a honeymoon trip to Snowshoe, West Virginia.
