TUCKER-THOMPSON

Kimberly Rhea Thompson andSterling Kent Tucker were united inmarriage on December 19, 1992 in Sinking Springs Presbyterian Church in Abingdon, Va. Rev. John K. Boyd was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held at Greenway Haven in Abingdon.

Sandy Ray, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Derek R. Tucker, brother of the groom, served as best man. The ushers were Todd Coake, friend; and Clay Foltz, cousin of the groom. Brandon Ray scattered rose petals from a top hat and Brent Foltz presented each mother with a long stem rose. A special wedding music program was provided by Kevin Thompson, brother of the bride. Karen Alderman was the guestbook attendant.

The bride's gown was satin andalencon lace accented with sequins and pearls. It featured a portrait neckline, cathedral train and basque waist. Shecarried a bouquet of candlelight and red long stem roses.

Kimberly is the daughter of Raymond A. and Joanne S. Thompson of Abingdon, Va. She is a graduate of Abingdon High School and Radford University, and is employed by Virginia State Probation and Parole. Kent is the son of Woodrow W. and Mary Jem Tucker of Dublin, Va. He is a graduate of Pulaski County High School and Radford University, and is employed by Virginia State Police.

Following their wedding trip toGatlinburg, Tenn., the newlyweds willreside in Abingdon.
