MILWAUKEE BUCKS CENTER MOSES MALONE ARRESTED ON COMPLAINT FILED BY EX-WIFE
Milwaukee Bucks center Moses Malone has been released on bond after his arrest on a complaint issued by his ex-wife, who charged that Malone threatened to kill her.Malone, who previously played for the Houston Rockets, was arrested Friday and later released from the Galveston County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond.
A peace bond had been issued for Malone after Alfreda Malone alleged in a Jan. 22 affidavit that her ex-husband had threatened to kill her.
She told a justice of the peace that Malone had damaged her property, stalked her and illegally entered her home. She lives in League City with the couple's two children, Moses II, 12, and Michael, 8.
Divorced from the basketball star in October, Alfreda Malone asked the justice to issue a peace bond warrant to keep her former husband from bothering her and the children. A hearing will be held in early February to decide on setting a peace bond.
Donn Fullenweider, Malone's attorney in Houston, did not immediately return a telephone calls Saturday from The Associated Press.
Under a peace bond arrangement, Malone would have to post a cash bond as a guarantee that he will observe the court's rules about contacting his ex-wife.
